Novotel Phu Quoc Resort - Family & Business trip hotel - Phu Quoc National Park

Phu Quoc National Park

More than 50% of the total land mass of Phu Quoc Island is given over to the Phu Quoc National Park. Taking a walk through the many park trails or riding a motorbike on the roads in the north will give an idea of the true natural environment here. The Park was established in 2001 by the Vietnamese Government. It has protected what is the perfect environment for a family vacation.

The most pleasant and forested parts are found on the road towards Ganh Dau. From Novotel Phu Quoc Resort, take the road to Duong Dong then head towards Bai Thom and turn off towards Ganh Dau. As you approach Ganh Dau Village the National park becomes more apparent.

Most of the park is in the north of the island and its highest point is Mount Chua which stands at 603 metres. Walking trails are limited, and motorbiking is the best way to see it. There is, however, a great walking trail about 5km before Ganh Dau. The pathway is wide enough to enjoy the surrounding environment and the going is relatively easy. This is a particularly pleasant way to escape the often fierce sun, as the canopy provides cover.
